He has a particular interest in nerve entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Further specialist interests include Dupuytren's contracture; Arthritis and soft tissue reconstruction. He believes strongly in patient led care and decision making. The importance of clear communication between doctors, patients and hand therapists ensures a good team approach. He teaches on local and national courses in hand surgery and is a university academic tutor for University of Exeter medical students, as well as a clinical supervisor for F2 doctors.
