Mr Sheikh Ahmad is a Consultant General Surgeon in Truro, Cornwall who specialises in breast surgery
Mr. Ahmad has Full Registration on the GMC Specialist Register (GMC number 4286992) and holds a substantive post as a Consultant Breast and Reconstructive Breast Surgeon at the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust, Truro, Cornwall. He is a member of the Association of Breast Surgery at BASO.
Mr. Ahmad has been practicing surgery for 30 years and has over 17 years of experience in breast surgery and more than 10 years experience in cosmetic surgery. He is ‘dual-trained’ and specialises in Cosmetic and Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. His second specialisation is hernia surgery.
His private practice is mainly in Truro and London but he sees patients from all over the country on their request, especially for complex operations.
The most common cosmetic operations he performs are breast enlargement, breast reduction, simultaneous augmentation+masotpexy (lift with breast implant), abdominoplasty, excision/liposuction for gynaecomastia and corrective surgery for Pectus Excavatum.
He provides a full bio-dimensional planning service with 3D imaging; an essential service to any person having breast enlargement this gives customer a tremendous help in making decision regarding choice of implant size.
Mr Ahmad has extensive experience in Breast Augmentation and Breast Reductions. Mr Ahmad uses variety of techniques, which are tailored to individuals’ needs and demands, achieving very satisfying results. He has special interest in correction/revision surgery for breast augmentation with outstanding results. He uses variety of breast implants, considering patients’ requirements and desires. More recently he has started using B-Lite implants, which are 30% lighter than other available implants.
He has performed more than 1000 breast augmentation and breast reductions. He has an extensive experience in abdominoplasties(tummy tuck) and liposuction using high definition technique with VASER liposuction. Mr. Ahmad also specialises in the assessment of male breast problems. Male breast tissue excess (gynaecomastia) and fatty male breast tissue (usually called pseudo-gynaecomastia) requires particular expertise to treat.
He has a keen interest in research and has many presentations at yearly scientific conferences, e.g. ORBS and ABS.
