Duchy Hospital is Cornwall's only private hospital
with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare
treatments and services. Duchy Hospital was opened in 1981 by
the late HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and is located in a
pleasant rural setting on the outskirts of Truro.
By investing in advanced medical technology, the hospital offers
a wide range of treatments and services. The two fully equipped
ultra clean air theatres are particularly suitable for orthopaedic
procedures such as arthroscopy, hip replacement and knee
replacements. The hospital is also equipped with a day case
theatre, with endoscopy facilities.
Hospital treatments
A wide range of diagnostic and treatment facilities are
available including x-ray, MRI, ultrasound, physiotherapy, sports
injury clinic, continence and health screening.

Competitively priced cosmetic surgery is available for a wide
range of procedures including breast enlargement, tummy tuck,
liposuction and facial surgery by our consultant led service. The
hospital is also able to provide a range of outpatient clinics
including IPL Hair Removal, Accent skin tightening and a Mole
Clinic for skin checks.
Facilities at the hospital
Duchy Hospital has 33 single rooms and 2 double bedrooms, all
with en suite facilities to ensure complete privacy. In addition a
two bed high dependency unit is available for patients requiring
particularly close monitoring.
Direct dial telephone, TV (including freeview) and radios are
available in all rooms, which also provide comfortable surroundings
for your visitors. Meals are served in your room and menus comprise
a selection of dishes, all freshly prepared.
The hospital has a suite of eight outpatient consulting rooms
and a minor procedures treatment room.
Our Staff
Consultants and nursing staff are highly experienced and have
your care and comfort as their highest priority. During and after
treatment, you will receive a standard of care which is second to
none and all patients have the reassurance that theatre,
paramedical services and resident RMO are available 24 hours a
day.
