Cosmetic Surgery

Duchy Hospital is one of Cornwall's leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services. Duchy Hospital was opened in 1981 by the late HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and is located in a pleasant rural setting on the outskirts of Truro.

The hospital invests in the latest advanced medical technology; the two fully equipped ultra clean air theatres are suitable for carrying out a wide range of cosmetic surgery procedures. The day unit is suitable for minor operations.

Treatments

Competitively priced cosmetic surgery is available for a wide range of procedures including breast enlargement, reduction, uplift, tummy tuck, liposuction, eye lid surgery, facelft and nose surgery by our consultant led service.

Hospital facilities

Duchy Hospital has 33 single rooms and 2 double bedrooms, all with en suite facilities to ensure complete privacy. In addition a two bed high dependency unit is available for patients requiring particularly close monitoring.

Direct dial telephone, Freeview TV and radios are available in all rooms, which also provide comfortable surroundings for your visitors. Meals are served in your room and menus comprise a selection of dishes, all freshly prepared. The hospital has a suite of eight outpatient consulting rooms

Our consultants

We offer a Consultant-led service to our patients in pleasant, clean surroundings. Our Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons are highly regarded in their field, skilled in every aspect of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. All our consultants hold or have held posts in the NHS as well as private practice, and a number are fully qualified members of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).

The fact that our Consultants are all qualified as Plastic Surgeons, rather than Cosmetic Surgeons means that they have undergone intensive specialist training in their speciality.

Our staff

Our consultants and nursing staff are highly experienced and have your care and comfort as their highest priority. During and after treatment, you will receive a standard of care which is second to none and all patients have the reassurance that theatre, paramedical services and resident RMO are available 24 hours a day.
